‘FEAR’… this single word can have such an impact on your life! What are you afraid off? What ‘Future Events Appearing Real’ are you dealing with today? How can eating fire help you overcome fear?
There are 2 primordial emotions in life: ‘LOVE and FEAR’ – every decision you make will be from a place of ‘love’ or ‘fear’. Positivity or Negativity, Light or Dark… FEAR is the very thing that suppresses your abilities, your gifts, gifts and quench your aspirations.
FEAR is the root of all that is wrong in this world… the source of greed, violence, anger.
When Franklin D. Roosevelt said, “The only thing we have to fear is fear itself,” what he was saying was that the emotion of FEAR is what causes us anxiety, stress, and unhappiness.
Avoid Destructive Criticism
The root source of most fear begins in our childhood, from parental conditioning, usually associated with destructive criticism, leading to two major types of fear: fear of failure, which causes us to think “I can’t, I can’t, I can’t,” and the fear of rejection, which causes us to think “I have to, I have to, I have to.”
Trauma
Trauma, in the form of physical and mental abuse, is responsible for how our brains developed and how as adults we deal with our fear responses. Trauma creates very engrained neuro-networks, and as adults, everything connected to the initial trauma is a tigger for a fear response followed by chemical and hormone imbalance in our body, and the result is ill-health and poor mental performance.
Overcome FEAR by Becoming a Master of Courage
The good news is that you can develop the habit of courage and self-confidence. When you do amazing possibilities opens up for you. Imagine what you could achieve if you weren’t afraid of anything in the whole world?
Mastering courage can be learned through NLP, Hypnosis, Meditation… and like everything, it must be practiced, and you need to surround yourself with people who support you.
Fire Eating and Other Crazy Things
When I was in the USA, I used to be a ‘Fire Eating coach’ at the Turning Point live seminar. We used to help people to overcome their ‘fear response’ by learning how to ‘eat’ fire. I had to overcome my own fear when I helped my then 9 year old daughter ‘eat’ fire. I had done it may times before with others, but I had to overcome my ‘fear’ response and overcome my fear to help my daughter overcome her fear as she learned another anchoring skill to overcome fear by relating to this moment.
Find opportunities to become a master of courage. Make a list of all the things that invoke fear, and set yourself a challenge to overcome them. Seek the guidance and support you need for taking on these challenges.
Your ability to ‘manage’ FEAR will determine the decisions you make in life, the opportunities you act on, and ultimately your happiness and health.
